frustration of the day

From this point on, in every syllabus I create, there will be a clause that states that Wikipedia is an unacceptable source. Oh.. and answers.com. Are you kidding? Big giant sigh over here from me in Florida tonight..

  1. I used to be a fairly active Wikipedia editor. Encyclopedias are never acceptable sources. All good encyclopedia articles cite other sources–which are the sources you should look up and cite yourself. Wikipedia has many good articles and many bad ones, but Britannica is just as poor of a choice of citation because no matter how good the article is it will always point to better ones.
